When Frank and Jenne Gray were planning their retirement, they decided to build a cabin in La Porte, CA. At that time, the only way people could acquire land, in this national forest area, was to file a mining claim. Using the first three letters in each of their four children's names, they chose the name Buddeejonken as the name of their "mine". That was in the early 1950's. We still use that name when we refer to the cabin, and when we have family reunions.
I plan to use this blog to hammer out some family memories, which may be of interest to family and friends.
